The curtain falls on probably the final Olympics of Jessica Ennis-Hill’s career. All the events are completed and the athletes will perform their traditional lap of honour together. Find out Jessica’s final score in our Rio 2016 Olympics Heptathlon report.
Amazing Heptathlon! A time of 2.09 minutes in the 800m means Jessica’s final score at Rio 2016 is 6775 and finishes in 2nd place – SILVER.
What an amazing two days the heptathlon has served up. Jessica, I know, will be tired and relieved its over, but she’ll also be tremendously proud of what she, her coach Toni Minichiello, and all the team have achieved.
The next 24 hours will be a whirlwind of press interviews and probably little time to actually celebrate. But a return to her boys and hometown of Sheffield will provide ample opportunity for that.
Well done Jess.
