Jessica Ennis-Hill has stepped up her mission to get the nation healthy by launching VitalityMove, a joint initiative with Vitality to help people throughout the country meet their fitness goals.
Two events will be taking place next year to put the fun back into running – and everyone is invited to take part.
VitalityMove will be heading to Chatsworth in Derbyshire on July 9th, before moving south to Windsor Great Park on September 17th. The events are designed for runners of all ages and abilities, and will include everything from one-mile music fun runs to more traditional 5k and 10k races.
There will be themed music to help keep everyone motivated, which has been specifically chosen by legendary DJ Trevor Nelson. He’s put together a soundtrack based on what people run to and what’s most likely to inspire the nation to get active.
Jess said: “I have teamed up with Vitality to create new events that aim to be inclusive and to appeal to as many people as possible – using music and running together to create a fun atmosphere.
“Whether you are a first-time runner or a seasoned athlete we will cater for you – and hopefully make it a day to remember. But above all we want the experience leaving you to want to do more events.”
The event’s official charity is Diabetes UK. Jess will be using the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for the great cause, as well as support its aim to educate people at increased risk of Type 2 diabetes. Nuffield Health will also be on hand to give participants expert advice on health and wellbeing.
